The Master 3 is a slim floor stander with two 5,25” carbon-coned drivers, a sealed ribbon tweeter and two 6.5” woofers. The Master 3 works as a 3-way speaker, where the two midrange-woofers are supported by two 6.5” aluminum coned woofers. The two carbon midrange-woofers are run in series for increased power handling.
The Master 3 cabinet is heavy, braced and curved, with carbon reinforcements. The speaker is crossed over at 2600 Hz and the two added side woofers assist up to 150 Hz.
The Master-series features high quality crossover with top quality components. The filter has been carefully tailored to linearize the frequency region where cone and cabinet geometry play a role and also to carefully tune the speaker to a natural sounding frequency response.

Stereo.no review:
“The sound is great, the focus is nicely drawn and the space you see is precise and very accurately rendered. They are also quiet and take the vital ultra-short and absolutely necessary pauses between transients for the micro-dynamics to live and breathe. These are loudspeakers you’ll be glad to have in your room! The little Master 1 have got good tests all round, but the Master 3 is not only great in treble, midrange and upper bass, but here you get quite as effective and pacey bass to boot.”
fairaudio review:
“The Larkmax Audio Master 3 are not boom boxes, despite their bass affinity – but they are not ethereal sound magnifiers either. They see themselves as classic audiophile speakers in the best sense with all-round talents and one or the other highlight virtue. What does that mean? Well, they cover a wide frequency response for the size class with good linearity. However, the impulse behavior, the fine dynamics, the spatial imaging, the aforementioned low bass capability and the exemplary cleanliness of the sound image qualitatively point beyond the price range. For fans of classical music, jazz, singer-songwriter, complex electro and sophisticated recorded pop and rock, the Larkmax Audio Master 3 are a clear recommendation.”
